Why Healing Journey?

“Nature loves courage. You make the commitment and nature will respond to that commitment by removing impossible obstacles. Dream the impossible dream and the world will not grind you under, it will lift you up. This is the trick. This is what all these teachers and philosophers who really counted, who really touched the alchemical gold, this is what they understood. This is how magic is done. By hurling yourself into the abyss and discovering it’s a feather bed.” Terence McKenna

In summer 2021, I got seriously sick seemingly overnight. It took a couple of months to discover I had an autoimmune disease, most likely triggered by the recent COVID vaccine I had received. My life changed dramatically. I was in so much pain that even the simplest tasks became major efforts. Just getting out of bed could take around 10 minutes, a millimeter at a time, because every movement was excruciating. Descending the stairs required crutches and slow, careful steps.

This was my new reality. Before, I was a runner, an acrobatics enthusiast, a dancer – always quite agile. Now, this.

A major game-changer

That’s when I decided to take complete control of my personal healing. I wouldn’t listen to anyone but my own inner wisdom. While I considered advice from doctors, healers, and other patients, the final decision was always mine, and mine alone. In hindsight, this meant taking full responsibility for myself and my life.

This new mindset was a major game-changer. Forever.

Let me be clear: this isn’t a rant about the COVID vaccine. What happened is just part of life. No one gets through it unscathed. We all experience misfortune, pain, grief, loss, and fear. That’s part of being alive. But this experience forced me to prioritize my well-being in a way I never had before.

Why female solo travelers?

In 2023, I experienced sisterhood for the first time in a real way. I realized how much I had been in my masculine energy for the past… 15 years. Building a business, raising a son, facing all of life’s challenges with determination, finding solutions, fighting, and pushing through.
With these sisters, female solo travelers by my side, I was allowed to once again fully BE in my feminine energy. This was new, and in a way it still is.

I’m learning so much about trust, flow, acceptance, releasing emotions, letting go of control, and healing – it’s all so good for me. I’m so grateful for these beautiful sisters. Do you know what I mean?

“No one can take away the last freedom of humans to choose their experience.” (Victor Franco)

I’m trying my best to keep that in mind!
From January to April 2023, I participated in Michael Neill’s online course “Creating the Impossible.”
During the course, I came up with the idea to interview all these amazing sisters I met on my travels who have inspired me so much. Each of them had a valuable lesson for me, offering a fresh perspective or opening doors to new possibilities.
Ultimately, my goal is to inspire you, resourceful and talented sister as you are. Perhaps you feel stuck in a situation, unsure of how to move forward or create the life you dream of. These interviews may be just the spark you need.

So I booked my ticket to Bombay!

That’s an expression from the online course I mentioned. It means you decide what your impossible project will be and you go all in.
The criteria for choosing a project are that it makes you giggle, grin and gasp. That it’s something you want to see in this world, and not something that sounds reasonable or that your parents always wanted you to do.
It just needs to make your heart sing.
I still don’t know where all this will lead, but I know it’s done so much for me already. These conversations and interviews have brought me endless giggles, grins and gasps.
I hope you’ll get to experience some, too.
